1989 Seastream 43
A very well loved and much admired yacht.
This Seastream 43 benefits from extensive upgrades over the years, the current owners having invested again into the boat with preparations for long distance offshore passage making and living aboard in comfort.
Unfortunately Pipers Dream has now come to the market due to health reasons.
The Yacht is currently in the water at Hartlepool Marina with viewings by Appointment.
Owners comments
We purchased Pipers Dream at the end of March 2020 and brought her from Falmouth to Hartlepool. This was at the very beginning of lockdown so we spent the next 15 months doing what we considered necessary refurbishments despite the fact that the previous 2 owners had spent in the region of £30K and £20K respectively on her.
Pipers Dream was surveyed in October 2018 and we understand from the owners that the recommendations were carried out.
The main renewals and refurbishments we carried out are as follows:
COCKPIT
Renewed the decking, table and cushions. The doors were also renewed.
SALOON
Removed headlining, insulated and replaced, renewing trims.
Remade the roof hatch.
Installed Venetian blinds and blind to hatch.
Replaced electric sockets and USB socket.
Renovated entrance steps and replaced treads

Replaced port light and installed grab bar

We have added various lights around the boat and replaced all the electric sockets.
Last summer (2023) we took Pipers Dream to Orkney and the west coast of Scotland. We had 3 months of wet, cold stormy weather. Cape Wrath, the Pentland Firth and the Point of Ardnamurchan can be challenging at the best of times, but this boat has great stability and handled it well. The conditions were not favourable for sailing, although even with only the foresails unfurled she sailed well.
Although we have owned Pipers Dream since 2020 , we have only been to sea with her for around 4-5 months. Covid, and sadly now ill health dictates that we must reluctantly sell. We have lived aboard for most of the time and have been very comfortable.
